Tough job interviews are probably quite common nowadays, in the aftermath of the recession with thousands still unemployed and struggling to find employment. In order to prepare for a job interview it’s crucial that any job applicant has an appropriate answer prepared for the general question asked at job interviews. The success or failure in this regard is probably the key factor that’s going to determine whether or not you are going to get the job.

You might probably not be prepared fully for all questions asked at job interviews. This is probably going to be impossible in any case since there are so many questions interviewers could ask you. In this case show your understanding and knowledge of the company and reiterate how fitting you are for the job in question.

As mentioned before there are of course those tricky question asked at job interviews that you should be careful of. A question like “What made you quit your last job?” is one that would fall into this category. Criticizing your old firm too much might not be advisable as you may come across as disloyal. For such questions asked at job interviews you should give the answer mentioning things like “I wanted a more challenging job with more opportunities.” Showing your confidence in your ability is vital.

Some questions asked at job interviews probing your weaknesses could actually offer you an opportunity to bring out your positives. No successful job applicant in history has probably been honest when answering questions like “What are your weaknesses?” Give an answer that would sound like a fault but actually cunningly brings out your strengths.

There is hardly any blueprint when answering questions asked at job interviews. Different interviewers may expect different answers so you would have to come up with answers that you feel has an appeal to your interviewer.
